A Driving Success At This Year’s Graham Golf Cup
July 18, 2014
Helping to build up the excitement ahead of The Open this week, the 2014 Graham Golf Cup for staff, suppliers and customers was held in spectacular fashion last week and in doing so raised over £710 for our Together charity, Macmillan.
Northern and Southern teams teed off last week in a head to head challenge of
ability and skill at the Kings Course and the PGA Centenary Course, Gleneagles
– which happens to be hosting The Ryder Cup in a few weeks time.
Across the two days there were some terrific shots hit, however there could only be one winner and with 14 points to 10; the Graham Northern team came out on top and were crowned this year’s winners!
Along with Graham staff, our suppliers and supporters also got to play a round on the well-known PGA Centenary course. Driving up the fairway was Paul Stenning of Twyford who won the Longest Drive, Collin Willis of Baxi won the Nearest the Pin and the overall Best Supplier Player went to Martin Doyle of Vokera – well done to them all!
Robert Haining, Graham Area Director – Glasgow, Clyde Valley & Cumbria, said: “While it was extremely hard, it was a very special and memorable experience to be able to play on the esteemed PGA course – particularly as it is ramping up for one of the world’s greatest golf tournament in September. We all had a fantastic time raising money through a raffle for our ‘Together’ charity, Macmillan.”
“All of the customers had a brilliant time at Gleneagles and in my experience, it is by far the best Golf event I have been fortunate enough to attend,” said Toby Edwards – Graham Regional Sales Manager – Kent, South Coast, Surrey & Sussex and Hampshire & Dorset.
